Vet Your Social Circle
Be aware of and selective about who you keep in your circle to prevent vulnerability to identity theft and hacking.
Understand the Online Agreements
Make sure you understand what a game or app is asking to see or do. Your information could be collected or shared with third parties.
Update Your Privacy Settings
Make sure your settings are up to date, and make sure only people you know have access to the things you post.
Improve and Don’t Reuse Passwords
The easier the password, the easier it is for hackers to break into them. Choose a string of upper and lowercase letters, including numbers and symbols. Use different passwords for every account.
Do Not Give Out Personal Information
Do not post anything that compromises your identity (Passport, driver’s License etc.) Be wary of questionnaires, hackers often mix fun questions with some that give away the answers to your security questions.
