About > Leadership > Richard Gloo
As a Chief Engineer at AIS, Richard Gloo focuses on leading the IR&D Program, building highly effective and sustaining teams, and bridging business boundaries to amplify our ability to deliver exceptional results to our end-users and customers.
Gloo joined AIS in 2005 and has worked as a direct technology contributor, project lead and strategic advisor across the areas of cyber operations, incident response, malware analysis, applications of virtual machine introspection, network security monitoring, vulnerability assessment and system/network defense. Gloo’s contributions throughout his time at AIS have routinely had direct impact to regional and national cybersecurity missions.
Within the research and development trajectory, Gloo tends to focus on the maturation and technical transition phases of delivering value to AIS’s stakeholders. A primary goal is navigating the tech adoption gap that often challenges capability deployment. Specifically, Gloo works with teams at AIS to focus on deeply understanding user needs, creating relevant capabilities and deploying those capabilities early and often to continually establish and maintain mission impact.
