In the past six years, AIS has more than doubled its workforce, quadrupled its revenue, acquired three companies and expanded to ten locations across the U.S., while offering employees some of the best benefits in the industry. The new offices are a result of AIS’s growth, as well as its commitment to creating opportunities for employment wherever cyber professional talent resides.
“We try to not to look at profit or revenue potential or how much business we have per se, but instead focus on doing what is right for our company, clients, employees and their families,” said Green. “With a solid culture and business plan while always doing what is right, the business will come.”
And it has. Green credits the success of AIS to hiring the right people who are passionate about what they do. Giving them the reins to ask the tough questions and make decisions has helped lead the company in a positive direction.
“If I could tell all of our employees one thing, I want them to know they should feel comfortable expressing their opinions and thinking out of the box,” said Green. “I’m not a business major, I’m a computer guy. I think one of my biggest successes as CEO is being smart enough to realize that I don’t know everything. More than once someone has told me to get the hell out of the way and I am happy to do so knowing we have such talented and driven people working here for us.”
When you join AIS, you are not joining a company with tunnel vision. Whether we’re working on building new technologies or venturing into the commercial world, our employees are always diversifying our capabilities and working to keep AIS at the forefront of technology.
“AIS is a company built on ideas and imagination and we are always interested in hearing suggestions on how we can improve all aspects of the business,” said Green. “We have a willingness to listen, a willingness to invite employees to participate and a willingness to let them take risks and explore options. I am thankful every day that I get to come to work, not only to lead but to work with the people that I do. It’s been quite the ride and I can’t wait to see where we are headed next.”
