Byron Parker

Byron Parker is Senior Vice President of Defense and Intelligence at AIS. In this role, Parker plans, directs, coordinates and oversees engineering and business development (BD) activities, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and strategic growth to meet current and future needs. Parker joined AIS in 2021 and served as Vice President of Business Development prior to this position.

Prior to joining AIS, Parker held multiple leadership positions in both the government and commercial markets focusing on growth strategy. He most recently served as the Director of BD and Director of Programs at WGS Systems, where he diversified the company’s customer base from international governments to include Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), oil and gas exploration and Internet of Things (IoT) markets. Before joining WGS Systems, Parker was the Vice President of Engineering Services at Globecomm Systems Inc and General Manager of ComSource, Inc.

Parker holds a bachelor’s degree in Ocean Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland.
